This Cartier sterling lighter from the late 1970s is an exceptional example of the Maison’s early oval-profile design and one of the rarest executions within the Must de Cartier series. Crafted in solid 925 sterling silver and finished with deep blue hand-applied guilloché enamel, it showcases a level of craftsmanship achievable only through highly skilled, labor-intensive work. Enameling on solid silver requires repeated high-temperature firings and precise control to ensure a flawless, vibrant surface, making pieces such as this exceptionally rare. Only a small number of these enameled sterling models were produced, and surviving examples represent some of Cartier’s most collectible creations. This lighter is accompanied by its original premium Cartier box, tool, guarantee card, and passport.
