Saphir Médaille d'Or Pommadier Cream Shoe Polish - 75ml

Also known as Crème 1925, Saphir Médaille d'Or Pommadier Cream Shoe Polish is a premium leather care product formulated with a unique blend of seven different waxes—including beeswax, carnauba, and montan—combined with nourishing shea butter oil and turpentine spirit. Exclusively intended for smooth leather shoes, this cream deeply nourishes, protects, and enhances leather while providing a rich, transparent colour tint. The high concentration of pigments rejuvenates the leather’s appearance, allowing the original patina to shine through or creating more nuanced shades when layered with different colors. Not suitable for suede, nubuck, or patent leather.

Selecting a Color: When choosing a color, note that an exact match to your leather may not always be possible. The pigments are semi-transparent, designed to enhance the existing color rather than fully cover it. Lighter colors minimize darkening and allow the original shade to dominate, while darker tints can add depth and create a richer patina. You can also select a color based on the highlights in your leather - choosing warm tones like cognac, sienna, or burgundy can help bring out and accentuate warm undertones in the patina, giving the leather a more vibrant, dimensional appearance.

Application: Ensure all dirt and dust is removed from the shoes, then buff lightly with a brush. Apply sparingly using a cotton cloth or applicator, massaging it into the leather in circular motions to ensure deep penetration and optimal nourishment (wear gloves if applying by hand). Leave to dry for one hour. Polish with a bristle brush, then finish with a soft cloth or glove for a brilliant shine. Once a base coat has been applied, simply re-buff after wear to maintain the finish.
