This Cartier sterling lighter from the early 1970s is an exceptional example of the Maison’s early oval-profile design. Crafted in solid 925 sterling silver and finished with hand-applied natural brown lacquer, it reflects the refined craftsmanship of Cartier’s Must de Cartier era. Only a small number of lacquered sterling models were produced due to the extensive handwork required to achieve the smooth lacquer surface and precise metal detailing. Hallmarks are present, and the lighter includes its original box and complete booklet set. A distinguished and seldom-seen representation of Cartier’s early design language.
