Specially developed in collaboration with skilled leather craftsmen, the Saphir Médaille d’Or Coated Fabric Lotion is designed to clean, protect, and enhance the beauty of coated fabrics. Its gentle yet effective formula removes dirt and greasy deposits without altering the color, finish, or decorative elements such as logos, insignias, and printed motifs.
Enriched with natural Carnauba wax, this lotion leaves a thin protective layer that helps maintain the original luster of the material while allowing it to breathe. It works on all types of coated canvas, whether plain or printed, as well as on patent finishes, making it ideal for handbags, wallets, and luggage. The formula will not clog the grain of the fabric or leave any white residue, and items can be polished afterward for a subtle satin sheen.
Application: Wipe the item to remove dust. Shake the bottle well, then apply sparingly with a soft chamois cloth. Allow to dry for 1 hour before buffing to a gentle shine. Always test on a discreet area before full application.

Regular cleaning of leather shoes is essential to their long-term maintenance by preventing the buildup of waxes, resins, and dirt that can otherwise clog leather pores and cause cracking. Especially for those transitioning to Saphir Shoe Polish from ordinary polishes, we recommend thoroughly cleaning your shoes with Saphir Reno'Mat to remove any resins, wax buildup or petroleum products left by prior polishes. This ensures that the leather pores are open and able to fully absorb Saphir Medaille d'Or's high concentration of waxes and nourishing agents.
For regular cleaning of dirt buildup, we recommend the Saphir Leather Cleaning Soap. The gentle formulation is not overly aggressive and contains leather nourishing agents to help prevent the leather from drying. For more thorough cleaning, the Saphir Reno'Mat will remove any accumulated waxes or resins.
