Made in France, the Saphir Avel Hussard Liquid Stain Remover is a highly effective cleaner designed to eliminate both fresh and set-in grease stains without leaving marks. Ideal for use on leather clothing, such as collars and sleeves, as well as leather seat headrests, it also works on a wide range of textiles and leathers.
Its liquid formula penetrates deeply to lift even old stains caused by oil, grease, tar, paint, polish, and chewing gum. Suitable for smooth leather, velvety leather, suede, nubuck, and textiles including silk, wool, cotton, and polyester, it offers exceptional versatility. Not recommended for use on patent leather, poplin, waterproof, or rubberized fabrics.
Application: Dampen a clean cotton cloth with Hussard Stain Remover. Dab the stain gently, starting from the edges to avoid spreading. Repeat as necessary using a fresh section of cloth. Always test on an inconspicuous area before use. For oil and grease stains, Terre de Sommieres Hussard is recommended for fresh stains, and Hussard Stain Remover Aerosol for older stains.

Regular cleaning of leather shoes is essential to their long-term maintenance by preventing the buildup of waxes, resins, and dirt that can otherwise clog leather pores and cause cracking. Especially for those transitioning to Saphir Shoe Polish from ordinary polishes, we recommend thoroughly cleaning your shoes with Saphir Reno'Mat to remove any resins, wax buildup or petroleum products left by prior polishes. This ensures that the leather pores are open and able to fully absorb Saphir Medaille d'Or's high concentration of waxes and nourishing agents.
For regular cleaning of dirt buildup, we recommend the Saphir Leather Cleaning Soap. The gentle formulation is not overly aggressive and contains leather nourishing agents to help prevent the leather from drying. For more thorough cleaning, the Saphir Reno'Mat will remove any accumulated waxes or resins.
