Derbies are often bulky and inelegant, but the Fremont is in a class above. It is a handsome two-eyelet style: The carefully drawn lines of its design couple with our soft-chisel last and a tastefully angled heel to create a sharp style that wears effortlessly with all kinds of fine tailoring.
This colorway sports a signature marble patina in a black finish, for an extremely subtle departure from a true all-black shoe. Flecks of light to mid grey create a burled effect that is most visible under bright, natural light -- while presenting very much like a true black when indoors or under low light.

The Fremont, on the LPB Last, is a generous and elongated-fitting dress derby. The derby style coupled with the chisel last gives a generous instep and elongated toe box. If you wear slender lasts, you will wish to size down. If you wear more generous fitting lasts, often found by Italian brands or on other chisel lasts, stick with your typical size. If you are a standard fit, it will be up to you to decide if you prefer a little more room or a snugger fit. If more room, stick to the same size, if more snug, size down.
