Hi, I'm Kirby Allison, founder of The Hanger Project. Our Felted Trouser Bar Hanger is one of our most popular trouser hangers. We created this to help solve the problem of creased trousers that occurs from locking trouser bars that clamp the trouser across the mid-thigh and creates creasing. One of the most important features of our Felted Trouser Bar is in fact the felted trouser bar. What this is, it's a flocked bar that allows the trousers to drape over that. The friction of the felt and the actual fabric of the trouser does an incredible job gripping the trousers and preventing them from sliding off, but it does that without any pressure. So, whenever you go to pull your trousers out of the closet at the end of the day, you don't end up with any embarrassing creasing across the mid-thigh that you get with a typical locking trouser bar. The second feature of the Felted Trouser Bar is it has a very low drop. Now the reason this is important is because it allows you to very efficiently use these hangers in your closet. They hang very high up close to the actual closet rod, and what that allows, is it allows you to basically more easily double stack trousers in a double rod system.

Our Felted Trouser Bar is available in our three standard finishes. We have our traditional finish, which is a high gloss brown finish with brown flocking and brass hardware. We have our natural finish which is made from a beautiful high-quality maplewood, which comes with black flocking and chrome hardware. And then we have our Alfred finish, which is a European beachwood with black flocking and chrome hardware.

So, as you can see, the trousers elegantly drape over the felted bar. Because there is no pressure being applied like with the locking trouser bar, whenever you take your trousers out of the closet at the beginning of the day you're not going to find any creasing across this mid-thigh that you would with a traditional locking bar mechanism. The friction between the flock bar and the fabric actually does a really good job gripping the fabric, so you also don't ever have to worry about your trousers sliding off your hangers.
