How to Refill Your Le Grand Cling Lighter

What You’ll Need:

• S.T. Dupont Red Butane Gas (for soft flame)*

• S.T. Dupont Yellow Butane Gas (for torch flame)*

• A clean, lint-free cloth, preferably made for jewelry or brass.

1. Ensure the lighter is completely cool and not recently used.
2. Turn the lighter upside down and locate the refill valve.
3. Lift the tab with your nail or a pick carefully then unscrew it to reveal the gas input.
4. Using the correct gas cartridge, firmly press the nozzle into the valve. Hold for approximately 5 seconds.
5. Allow the lighter to rest for 1–2 minutes to let gas stabilize and reach room temperature.
6. Wipe down any excess and confirm no gas is leaking.

Important: Never mix gas types. Use only S.T. Dupont butane for optimal performance.

How to Ignite and Use the Flame

The Le Grand features a dual-flame system:

• Soft Flame (for elegant lighting)

To Ignite:

1. Flip open the cap to expose the ignition roller.
