Crafted in France, the Saphir Médaille d’Or Reno Cleaner is a powerful and reliable solution for deep cleaning smooth leathers. Its advanced formula removes residual waxes, silicones, and resins, freeing the pores and preparing the leather to absorb nourishing creams and lotions. This essential step ensures leather remains properly hydrated, conditioned, and ready for optimal care.
The Reno Cleaner is strong enough to tackle even the most persistent stains while preserving the quality of the leather. Suitable for smooth leather, oiled leather, greased leather, oiled nubuck, and waxed nubuck, it can also be used to refresh the edges of rubber and sneaker soles.
Application: Apply to a clean, dry cloth and work into the leather in circular motions, changing the cloth’s surface frequently to avoid spreading dirt. Allow the leather to dry for at least 15 minutes before applying other care products. Repeat as necessary. Always test on a discreet area before full application, as excessive cleaning may remove certain finishes.

Regular cleaning of leather shoes is essential to their long-term maintenance by preventing the buildup of waxes, resins, and dirt that can otherwise clog leather pores and cause cracking. Especially for those transitioning to Saphir Shoe Polish from ordinary polishes, we recommend thoroughly cleaning your shoes with Saphir Reno'Mat to remove any resins, wax buildup or petroleum products left by prior polishes. This ensures that the leather pores are open and able to fully absorb Saphir Medaille d'Or's high concentration of waxes and nourishing agents.
For regular cleaning of dirt buildup, we recommend the Saphir Leather Cleaning Soap. The gentle formulation is not overly aggressive and contains leather nourishing agents to help prevent the leather from drying. For more thorough cleaning, the Saphir Reno'Mat will remove any accumulated waxes or resins.
